Deep Listening
Attunement with the guests and their collective needs. Sessions are improvised and respond to the moment as it arises.
Multi-Instrumentalist's Palette
Michael can weave the soundtrack across handpans, flutes, crystal and metal bowls, keyboard, guitar and assorted instruments. People often think there is more than one person playing during a session.
Space Holding
Recognition that silence is as powerful as sound in the field of listening. There is room to breathe, and room to meet both the familiar and the growing edge.
Cinematic Experience
Guests often describe time moving more slowly as they immerse and forget in one spacious session. The session becomes a soundtrack for the inner cinema of the mind.
Three Decades in Music
Michael has played for tens of thousands of people at festivals and by the bedside of the dying, and every space in between, in three decades of experience. That lived experience shimmers through every note.
Integration
As a trauma-informed practitioner, Michael holds the space before, during and after each session. Sharing circles and one-on-one debriefs are not uncommon.
